ZoID enables you to configure and manage both Event & Queue on your mobile device. It is simple to use and navigate, enabling only those essential functions that you need. This is a quick guide to get you started.

Registration

Instructions

Launch ZoID app on your mobile device. This is the first screen that you will see if you have not sign-in.

If you have not registered, tap on the “Register”, and you will come to this Registration Page. Provide a valid email that you are using and give yourself a password. You will need to verify your email before you can create Event & Queue.

After Registration, enter your Email Address and Password at the Login Page.

This will be the first screen that you see after you have provided the correct credential. Welcome to ZoID!

Creating Event

Instructions

Tap on the “Application” tab to access the page where you get access to all the functions available. Tap on the “Create Event” tab to start creating an event.

Fill in the name for your event. With the selection of the toggle button, you can choose to collect either the participant’s Name, Email or Phone Number or all of them. If you do not need any other options, just tap on the “Save” at the top right corner. However, there are other options available. Tap on the “Add Entry”.

Currently, you have the options to include either a “Text” entry or a “Choice” entry. Let’s tap on “Text” first.

This option allows the participant to enter any free text comment that they might have. This option is useful if you required to obtain feedback on a specific question. After finishing the message, tap on “Add Entry” and follow by “Choice”.

This enables you to create a question and providing multiple selections for the participant to choose an option. This is also a method where you can gather a post-event survey. Each row of entry stands for one option available for the participant. In this case, participants will have three options to choose one.

You can add in multiple options to gather a better understanding of your participants.

Tap on “Save” when you are done and this event has been created.

At the “Activity” tab, you can see that your event has been created. It shows the Name of the Event and the total number of participants that have sign-in currently. This can also be used to enable a keen individual to register for your event and to get the turn-out rate for your event in real-time.

Manage Event

To manage the event that you created, tap on that event. You will see the event title at the top, “Event QR Code”, “Delete” and “Config” options.

Tapping on the “Event QR Code” brings you to the unique QR that’s specifically for your event. You can either let your participant or guest scan from your mobile phone or share it out.

Tapping on the “Share” option on the top right brings up an additional two options. You can either share the “QR Code Link”, which enable another person to print it out for scanning. You can paste this at the event venue or include this on brochures or any physical distribution material for signing up. Alternatively, share using the “Register Link” to allow participant or guest to click and goes straight to the registration page.

Once your participant scan or tap on the link, they will be bought to a registration page. It shows the Event Name and Host Email (Company name can be displayed instead of email for Power & Premium user). Participants will need to provide that information that you selected, which in this case the Name, Phone Number and Email.

Swiping up shows the three optional entry which includes a free text answer and two questions with the specific selections available.

Once the participant tap on “Submit” they will be enrolled in the event.

On your mobile phone, you can now see that there is a participant who signed up for this event.

Tapping on the event shows you more information on the participant that sign up for your event.

Tapping into any of the participants brings up more options. You can choose to “View Detail” which shows you all information available, “Phone” to call that participant, “SMS” to send a short message, etc. Please note that ZoID is using the SMS plan provided by your Telco instead of requiring you to pay upfront for a bundled Web SMS service.

Tapping on the “Config” at the event main page shows you configuration for this event. You can see the Event Name and you required Name, Email and Phone to be provided.

Tapping on the “Daily Schedule” allows you to change the timing that this event is available for registration or scan. If the time falls out of the stipulated timing, the participant will not be allowed to register.

Tapping on the “Options Stats” enables you to see the visualised outcome of the selection by participants on those questions given with specific options.

This is an example of a visualised output.

Tapping on the “Export Data to Excel” generates the data that are entered by the participant in excel format. You can export it to different options available on your mobile device by tapping on the “Export” icon on the top right. Do note that there’s a difference in the export options available between iOS and Android.

Create Queue

Tap on the “Application” tab to access the page where you get access to all the functions available. Tap on the “Create Queue” tab to start creating an event.

Fill in the name for your queue. With the selection of the toggle button, you can choose to collect either the customer’s Name or Phone Number or all of them. If you do not need any other options, tap on the “Save” at the top right corner. However, there are other options available such as you can limit the number of queues, which is suitable for flash sales, to restrict the number of “claims”. You can also limit the time that this queue can be scanned. Lastly, you can make available different options for your customer to choose from. The possibilities are depending on what you are selling.

Tap on “Save” when you are done and this queue has been created.

At the “Activity” tab, you can see that your queue has been created. It shows the Name of the Queue and the total number of customers that are in the queue currently.

Manage Queue

To manage the queue that you created, tap on that queue. You will see the event title at the top, “Event QR Code”, “Queue URL”, “Delete” and “Config” options.

Alternatively, share using the “Register Link” to allow customer to click and goes straight to the queue page.

It shows the Queue Name and Host Email (Company name can be displayed instead of email for Power & Premium user). Participants will need to provide that information that you selected, which in this case the Name and Phone Number.

Customer will fill in all the necessary information and make their selection. If you are selling only a standard product, this selection can be omitted.

After tapping on “Submit”, the customer will be given a Queue Number. Each mobile device can only scan once on a particular queue.

If there is a limit being set, such as in a flash sales, the queue will indicate “Sold Out” once it reached the configured number during setup.

When you tap on the “Queue URL”, you will be given a webpage that is for displaying the queue number called on a web browser. This enables you to use just tablet, or display with a web browser, to show the queue status. This will be lower on installation and hardware cost as compared to the traditional approach. It also allows the display to be portable.

The number of customer in the queue is also being shown on display. This enables those waiting in the queue to have a rough estimation on the time that they might need to spend waiting.

Tapping on the “Config” at the queue main page shows you configuration for this queue. You can see the Queue Name and you required Name and Phone to be provided. It also shows the available time window that you provided and the limit set during queue creation.

Tapping on the “Daily Schedule” allows you to change the timing that this queue is available for queue scan. If the time falls out of the stipulated timing, the customer will not be allowed to scan for queue.

Tapping on the “Options Stats” gives you a visualisation of the options that you have provided for customer to select.

You can also reset the queue number back to “0′ daily. However, please note that this do not reset the stock limit that’s being created with this queue.

Tapping on the “Export Data to Excel” generates the data that are entered by the customer in excel format. You can export it to different options available on your mobile device by tapping on the “Export” icon on the top right. Do note that there’s a difference is the exporting function for iOS and Android. Also, if you closed all the queues, there will not be any exporting information available.
